Americans love the idea of the 4th of July and the significance it has on our lives each year. This is the time we come together as a country and celebrate as brothers and sisters. So thinking of having a 4th of July party, but a little afraid of the set up that comes along with this extravaganza? Well this guide is here to help you celebrate “Uncle Sam” the right way. This article will help refresh and suggest some classic 4th of July recipes, summer flavors and party ideas!

4th of July Appetizers

  Here are some easy appetizer recipes to get the party started! Cinnamon-Glazed Peanuts Ingredients:
  • One pound of raw peanuts
  • Half cup of brown sugar
  • Three fourths of a teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • One third of a cup of honey
  • Three tablespoons of butter
  • Half of a teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
Directions: 1. Prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. 2. Place the butter, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of salt in a large microwavable bowl and microwave until the butter is melted which could take about 45 seconds. Mix to make sure all of the ingredients are combined 3. Add the raw peanuts to the honey mixture and mix until they are all coated. Pour the peanuts out onto the prepared baking sheet and spread them into an even layer. 4. Bake the peanuts for a total of 30 minutes and stir every 5 minutes so they cook evenly. 5. The peanuts are supposed to be golden brown. Remove from oven and stir once more. After a minute or so, sprinkle the brown sugar and remaining 1 teaspoon of salt on top and mix again. When they cool to room temperature make sure to continue stirring to get rid of clumps. Deviled Eggs Ingredients:
  • Six eggs
  • One fourth of a cup of mayonnaise
  • One teaspoon of white vinegar
  • One teaspoon of yellow mustard
  • One eight of a teaspoon of salt, pepper and paprika
Directions: Place eggs in a boiling pot and make sure there is at least one half of an inch of water over the eggs. Place the heat on the stove on the high setting and wait for water to boil. Once the water is boiling, turn heat from high to low and let the eggs cook for around 15 minutes. After eggs are done, place the hard boiled eggs under cold water for around 1 minute. Then peel the eggs shells under the cold water and dry the eggs off. After, slice the eggs in half and scoop the yolks into a bowl. Add all the ingredients besides the paprika and mix them with the egg yolk. Distribute eggs yolk mixture evenly to the empty egg whites and then sprinkle the paprika on top of the deviled eggs for garnish.
